Open Letter from Kathy Smoke
Dear All,
I have been President of the Arabian Jockey Club board of directors for 10 years and have decided it is time for me to slow down and change my board status beginning Jan 1, 2018.
The Arabian Jockey Club board of directors has elected Susan Meyer (current Vice-President) to the role of President of the AJC Board of Directors. I was elected Vice-President and will continue to assist her (as she has assisted me).
Sue and I have worked closely over these past years; we share the same passion & vision for our sport, our breed, and our organization. We don’t foresee any transitional issues either nationally or internationally.
I have enjoyed working with the AJC organization and all of the members of the different committees over these past 10 years. I sincerely thank you for your efforts and your commitment to Arabian racing. I am fortunate to have met many dedicated owners/breeders and trainers who share the same passion for the sport of Arabian racing.
I still have upcoming youngsters to race and plan to continue in racing while staying involved in the AJC.
Sue is more than capable to step into this position and will bring her own unique talents to continue the AJC work of promoting, educating and aiding in the growth of Arabian racing in the USA and internationally.
Sincerely,
Kathy Smoke, President
Arabian Jockey Club
