8 October 2017, Delaware Park ~ On 5 October 2017,Thess Is Awesome with Scott Spieth guiding, owned the 1 1/16 mile race, finishing almost 2 lengths ahead of Mystical MHF, with Kao Maloan SWA in 3rd. Final time was 1:56.8 in a field of seven for three-year-olds + on dirt.
Two days later, on 7 October, Merlot MHF (Madjani)with Keiber Coa in the saddle, won the HARC Allowance for three-year-olds+, going gate to wire winner in the Delaware Park 6 Furlong sprint. Zarifa CS came in second and Junia took third in a field of seven. Time for the 6 furlongs was 1:21.34. Dartyn Kriss SWA (KD Kalhoun x Triss) under Travis Wales, finishing fourth, won the the HARC bonus for this race. As the only HARC-qualified horse entered in the race, owner Dr. Dr. Jim Wetzel of Casper, Wyoming, took home the entire HARC bonus of $4,000.
