Trainer De Mieulle Saddles Five Winners For 25 December QREC Racing

Trainer De Mieulle hogged the day’s limelight saddling five winners for the day for Umm Qarn

25 December 2014, QREC ~  Umm Qarn’s Nashmi (Amer x Danie Du Cassou) was brilliantly ridden by Gaetan Faucon to an impressive victory in the feature Al Wajba Cup, a Pure Arabian Advanced Plate race run over 1850 metres on 25 December at the Qatar Racing & Equestrian Club. The Alban de Mieulle schooled Nashmi gained ground resolutely inside the last 200 metres winning over Hariir by two lengths. The order of the day began with the second race as Umm Qarn’s Majeed (Amer x Zabieh) led a pillar to post parade in the Local Bred Pure Arabian Maiden Plate ridden to victory by jockey Gaetan Faucon. Rafaal and Jubail finished second and third respectively.

HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Khalifa Al Thani owned Meghwaar (Kerbella x Djamour Des Forges) broke through the maiden ranks with a length win over Rasi in the Pure Arabian Maiden Plate. Having finished second in her last run, the Julian Smart nurtured Meghwaar with Alberto Sanna astride grew stronger at the finish to keep Rasi and Chanson Du Soleil at bay.

De Mieulle was again on the boards as the Patrice Nicolet owned Mutawassal ridden by Pier Convertino clinched a thrilling victory in the Local Thoroughbred Handicap for horses rated 60 and below. De Mieulle enjoyed another highlight as Zahrah under Gaetan Faucon came in second.

Making it four, Umm Qarn’s Mujidd (Majd Al Arab x Mabrookah) was ridden to victory by jockey Pier Convertino in the Pure Arabian Handicap for horses rated 60 and below. The De Mieulle trained Mujidd held on gamely to win by a neck from a Rassan trained by Jassim Al Ghazali. Waad and Al Koufa finished third and fourth respectively.

Rashid Khamis Saif Al Kuwari owned Global Icon ran on strongly inside the last final furlong to win the Thoroughbred Maiden Plate for four to six year olds under jockey Alberto Sanna.

In a keen tussle for supremacy, Jassim Al Ghazali trained My Sharona kept aside the challenge of stable mates Collect Art and Captain Cleo to prevail by a neck in the Thoroughbred Conditions race with jockey Guilliambert astride the winner.

Collecting his fifth win for the day De Mieulle greeted Firdous in the winner’s circle after the Thoroughbred Handicap. Pier Convertino on board staved off the spirited challenge of Janoub Nibras to win by a neck. 

Osama Omar Al Dhafa owned and trained Primitorio was ridden to victory by jockey Gerald Avranche in the Thoroughbred Handicap for horses rated 85 to 105, run over 1400 meters.

Hassan Ali Hassan Al Matwi owned and trained Majd Al Uraiq (Majd Al Arab x Mezooh) proved his superiority while winning the Al Khor Cup, a Local Bred Pure Arabian Conditions race, the highlight of the races on the sand track of the Racing and Equestrian Club on Wednesday, December 24. The Hassan Ali Hassan Al Matwi schooled Majd Al Uraiq was brilliantly ridden to victory by jockey TadghO’Shea.

Mohammed Kazim Al Ansari & Sons owned TM Reagan Bret (Burning Sand x FC Bint Chezi) was a runaway winner of the Pure Arabian Conditions race under jockey Salim Golam, TM Reagan Bret made every post a winning one while stretching away in the final furlong to a widening margin of five lengths over Harran. Ahmed Koibeissi saddled the winner.

Sultan Ahmed Al Jaber owned Sahab Al Naif (Zwbaa Al Naif x Hestelle De Faust) with Marvin Suerland up scored his first victory with a dazzling start to finish victory in the Pure Arabian Maiden Plate. While Nazala Al Naif finished a impressive second. Taghya and AJS Madrid completed the frame.

Thoroughbred races

Abdulatif Hussain Al-Emadi owned Daleem was comfortable winner in the Local Throughbred Maiden Plate ridden to victory by jockey Pier Convertino. 

Shaheen Bin Khalid Shaheen Al Ghanim owned Urban Dreamer shed his maiden status with an authoritative win in the Thoroughbred Maiden Plate under Harry Bentley.

Group (2)Al Sadd Stud’s Thameem with Marco Monteriso astride was impressive winner of the day in the Thoroughbred Graduation Plate.

Jassim Bin Ali Al Attiya’s Freckenham was a another pillar to post winner of the Thoroughbred Handicap wih jockey Almotasem Al Balushi over 14 rivals.

Jassim Mohamed Al Gazali & Sons owned Upholland was ridden to a confident victory by jockey Harry Bentley in the Thoroughbred Handicap for horses rated 70 to 90, run over 1800 meters.
