Qatar Arabian Trophy Des Juments (Pouliches) 4 years old
5 October 2019, Paris, France ~ The Arc De Triomphe racing action descended on the new Parislongchamps race course for the 5 & 6 October races. The featured Arabian race on the card for Saturday, 5 October, was the Qatar Arabian Trophy Des Juments (Pouliches or Females) of 4 years of age.
It was Raahah (Asraa Min Albarq x Massamarie by Tidjani) ridden by Francois Xavier Bertras for trainer F. Rohaut for HH Sh Mohammed Bin Khalifa Al Thani’s Al Shahania Stud. This is the first win for the mare in her eighth out for 2019.
She was chased home by second Jaazamah Athbah ridden by J.B Eyquem for Athba Stud and trained by Mme.JF Bernard. Third was Vivabaina (Kerbella) ridden by Oliver Pesnier and trained by Charles Gourdain for the Royal Cavalry of Oman.
The winning time was 2:22:77 for the 2000 metre race but did not pass the win time of 2:17:57 for 2018 winner Al Shamoos.
