February 26, 2014, Doha ~ The first race on the card for Qatar International Day at the 23rd Qatar International Equestrian Festival to be held at the Qatar Racing & Equestrian Center (QREC) in Doha is a Purebred Arabian P/A Conditions Fegentri Lady Riders race with twelve horses in the mix. Amateur lady riders from all over the globe will be in stiff competition to gain points for the Fegentri Championship with a win in this race.
Shaklan by Burning Sand will have as jockey Annie Yeager from the USA, while Al Munjez will have Silia Storen from Norway, and Mothaber will have the benefit of German rider, Michelle Blumenauer, currently number one in the Longines World Fegentri Championship for Lady Riders 2014 with 20 points already on her tab.

The day continues with six other highly-contested races including the Qatar International Trophy Grade I, a battle of four-year olds and up over 1600m that will see entries from leading owners of Umm Qarn, Al Shahania Stud, Royal Cavalry of Oman, H.H Sheikh Mohammed Bin Khalifa Al Thani, and Al Shaqab Racing.
