The tile “Qatar Cup” seems to carry good luck for Poulain Kossack, as the seven-year old Dutch horse was able to win another Qatar Cup title though in two different countries. After winning the French edition of the Qatar Cup in Longchamp last year, POULAIN KOSSACK came back to take away the first Dutch edition of the Qatar Cup, which was held in Duindigt, Netherlands, on Sunday, 9 June 2013.
The Qatari challenger, Damis, owned by HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Faleh Al Thani, came fourth in the Euros 30,000 pure Arabian race for four years old and over, which was run over 1,900 metres.
Jockey Chang rode Poulain Kossack to a two and a half length victory over Ameretto and Sartejano. The Yanis Aouabed ridden Damis completed the frame, taking the fourth place ahead of SR Dorwan.
