Nominations in for Churchill Downs Gr 1 UAE President Cup Race

7 June 2019, USA ~ Sixteen have been nominated for the $100,000 Grade 1 UAE President Cup Race that will go off at Churchill Downs on 15 June 2019 at the Louisville, Kentucky, USA racetrack.

Some of the top performing race Arabians in the US will show up for this mile and 1/16 contest including multiple Gr 1 winner Paddys Day, third in the 2017 edition of this race and running under new ownership of breeder Jane Teutsch. Paddys Day is now training under Leonie Seesing and one can rely on his formidable record although he has not been in competition this season. One not to overlook is Easter Man, third in this race in 2018 and sporting an unbeaten record in 2019 with trainer Jerenesto Torrez, albeit at lower distance. Quick and Rich, winner of this race in 2017 with trainer Lynn Ashby with a 2019 win over a mile but only after a forfeit by Madjikman. The aforesaid Madjikman, second in this race in 2018 to Quick Sand AA (not entered), has proved over this distance and has the ability but at 6 years is still a bit uneven. RB Kindle at five years is showing promise.
