Al Mahdod (Munjiz), owned by Sheikh Joaan Bin Hamad Al Thani is favored at 7-2 trained by J F Bernard with Christophe Soumillon to ride, while successful Doha winner, Muntasar( Majd Al Arab), owned by HH Sheikh Abdullah Bin K Al Thani, comes to the track at 4-1.

Other contenders include the  HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Khalifa Al Thani owned, Al Anga (Amer), and Djainka Des Forges (Kerbella (FR); the Royal Cavalry of Oman’s, Vazs Mane Son (Dormane USA) and Djent (Burning Sand) (USA); Sivit Al Maury (Akbar),owned by HH Sheikh Hamdan Bin R Al Maktoum won a 7f at Bordeaux and the Gr 3 Prix Damas at Dax and his entry Tawaazun (Monsieur Al Maury(FR).

European entries Samima (Dahess (FR), trained by Karen Van Den Bos for Mr. L Waterland, Vulkain D’Albret (Al Asoudi (FR), owned by M K Albahou and 3rd in the President of the UAE Cup Curragh in May;  Paramour (Djendel (NL), owned by G Th Zoetelief; Djet Taouy (Dahess(FR), owned by Dr. Paul Daverio; and Voltan DA (Ircalan (BEL), owned and trained by J Verstrepen.
