21 June 2016, UK ~ Newbury is on for the next DIAR Prep race on 23 June – one of the DIAR series that runs up to Dubai International Arabian Races at Newbury on 24 July, 2016. The horses that finish 1, 2 or 3 in a Preparation Race and win one of the bonus races at Newbury on 24 July 2016, will receive a bonus in addition to the official prize money of the race.
Newbury 23 June Race Wisdom: Only three of these have previously raced and although they will have improved for that experience, their level of form could easily be surpassed by one of the newcomers. Those that appeal most are the Sheikh Hamdan owned debutants. The dam of Alazeez was useful as a juvenile and Naishaan is the first UK runner for the great No Risk Al Maury. However, ALRAZEEN is a half-brother to the last two winners of the Emirates Equestrian Federation International Stakes (Gp2 PA) so gets the vote. Run over the same course and distance, this race is designed to be a preparation for that group contest so the winner will be one to watch on the 24th July.
The last UK Prep Race for Dubai International Day, 24 July, will be 7 July at Newbury. List of DIAR prep races and winners below.
