Aseel International Purebred Arabian Horse Cup
27 August 2014 Kassel, Germany ~ The three-day Aseel International Purebred Arabian Horse Cup Germany 2014 held in Kassel, Germany, from August 22 to 24 has now been taken under the patronage of HH Sheikh Mansoor bin Zayed al Nahyan.
The three day event included a Purebred Arabian horse show with the addition of demonstrations of the versatility of the Arabian horse showing free style and dressage horses and the very popular discipline of reining. The event provided a good opportunity for social communication and the culture of the UAE with the booths of handcrafts and arts as well as Salukis dogs, Falcons and Camels.
The events were held at the historic castle of Kassel Park, with its beautiful gardens and orchards surrounding the Bavarian city.
The purebred Arabian Montashir was crowned champion of the Aseel International Purebred Arabian horse Cup during the closing ceremony. HE Jumaa Al Junaibi, UAE ambassador to the Federal Republic of Germany presented the trophy, a statue from the 19th century, to the winning owner.
A special reception was held and attended by the Ambassador, Count Fernand Castle, Dr. George Holmes, Chairman of Aseel International Purebred Arabian Horse Club, Dr Abdulla Rayes Director General of the National Archive, Abdelmohsen Dosari from the General Youth and Sports Authority Welfare, Matar Al Yabhouni president of the Abu Dhabi Horse Racing Committee and member of the board of Abu Dhabi Sports Council, Adnan Al Nuaimi General manager of Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club, Lara Sawaya Executive Director HH Sheikh Mansoor Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Global Arabian Horse Flat Racing Festival, Mubarak Al Nuaimi Director of Overseas Promotion TCA Abu Dhabi, Ahmad Al Fahim Executive Director Marketing and Investment TDIC, Abdulla Al Tamimi, Hamad Al Zaabi and Ali Al Mazrouei from the Ministry of Presidential Affairs, in addition to others involved in the Arabian horse industry around the globe.
HE Jumaa Al Junaibi praised the success of the outstanding events and expressed his pleasure for organising of this event in Germany under the generous patronage of the HH Sheikh Mansoor bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, for Purebred Arabians to underline the civilized and bright image of the UAE and to promote of this noble creature.
Dr. George Holmes, chairman of the Aseel International Purebred Arabian Horses Club, hailed the great support which is provided by the HH Sheikh Mansoor bin Zayed Al Nahyan Global Arabian Horse Flat racing Festival. “This great support boosts the international equine sport in accordance with a brilliant plan to upgrade the profile of the discipline. This year’s Aseel Purebred Arabians Cup focused on the outstanding performance of the Purebred Arabian horses and the winners were selected by a panel of international judges.
