11 December 2014, Doha ~ Ten races, including the Longines World Fegentri Championship for Gentleman riders, pleased the crowds at the Qatar Racing & Equestrian Club on 10 December.

Al Jeryan’s AJS Qahir (Martin Al Maury x Af A’ajabatani) produced a sparkling run in the final 100metres to get the better of Harran to win the Club Cup, a Pure Arabian Conditions race, which featured the 14th day’s races at the Qatar Racing and Equestrian Club on Wednesday. The Mohammed Al Yaqout- schooled AJS Qahir was ridden to victory by jockey Pier Convertino. Harran finished one and-quarter length behind the winner. Aziz Al Shahania and Slimane completed the frame.

Fahad Bin Abdullah Al Attiyah & Son owned Elwazeer ran on strongly inside the last 100 metres to win the Thoroughbred Conditions race, which was part of the Longines World Fegentri Championship for Gentleman riders. The Jassim Al Ghazali trained Elwazeer was ridden to victory by Frenchman Gulain Bertrand. Stable mate Collect Art finished two lengths behind the winner under Frederik Tett. Abeer and Mehfras completed the frame.

Al Ghazali Stud’s Howlin’ for you recorded her first career win with a fluent victory in the Thoroughbred Maiden Plate for two years old only. 

In the 4th race, Al Jeryan Stud’s AJS Amjad (Majd Al Arab x Temptayshuhn) clinched a thrilling victory over Al Koufa while winning the Pure Arabian Handicap for horses rated 60 and below run over seven furlongs. Ladys Sandman and Al Taweel were second and third respectively.

In race 8, Khalifa Bin Sheail Al Kuwari owned Kimfalah (Akim De Ducor x Florihala) was brilliant ridden by Bentley to victory in the Pure Arabian Conditions for three years olds only. The Ghazali trained Kimfalah was in a handy third-fourth position as the field straightened out for the home stretch. Once alerted to teh task on hand, Kimfalah stretched away nicely and later warded off the challenge from stablemate Bayalina to win by a three fourth length.

The opening race saw Jassim Bin Ali Al Attiya owned Rassan (Amer x Sandytiki) with J.P Guilliambert up shed his maiden status with a fluent win in the Pure Arabian Maiden Plate run over a mile. Making his fifth appearance on the race track, Rassan was an impressive winner by three and a half lengths. Majeed was second ahead of Wahchey.

Khalifa Bin Sheail Al Kuwari’s Under The Radar was ridden to victory by jockey Harry Bentley in the Thoroughbred Conditions for three years old only.

Khalid Yahya Al Khusaai owned Katja made every post a winning one as he raced away to a start to finish victory in the Thoroughbred Handicap for horses rated 50 to 70 under jockey Guilliambert.

Zakhir Stud’s The Scuttler clinched a thrilling victory in the Thoroughbred Handicap for horses rated 50 to 70 under Cedric Segeon, who  brought The Scuttler into contention with a brilliant stretch run. 

Mohammed Kazim Al Ansari & Sons owned Hearts Of Stone won the Qatar Cup, Thoroughbred Handicap for horses rated 85 and above  with Salim Golam astride.
