5 February 2015, France ~ The top rated horse in the 2015 International Classification for 4 yos and upwards is Al Mourtajez (Dahess x Arwa (Nuits St Georges) with a rating of 130. This rating is based on his five lengths win in the Paris based, Qatar Arabian World Cup, a performance which has earned him the highest rating since the Pure Bred Arabian Classifications began in 2011. Al Mourtajez also won the HH Emir’s Sword in 2015, and is indisputably, the outstanding Arabian horse of 2015.
In total, 59 horses were rated 110 or above in the 2015 Classification, coming in slightly less than the previous year (66). The top rated 3-yo for 2015 is Muraaqib on a rating of 118 earned when winning the Qatar Total Arabian Trophy. In total 13 3-yos were rated 105 or above in the 2015 Classification as opposed to 17 in the previous year.
