Races to be run on Saturday 15 September at L’Chilivani racecourse
14 September 2018, Ozieri, Italy – The L’Chilivani racecourse located in the hamlet of Chilivani in the municipality of Ozieri, Italy, will host three races under the umbrella of the HH Sheikh Mansoor Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Global Arabian Horse Flat Racing Festival on Saturday, 15 September 2018.
On a day that is an important one in the Italian flat-racing calendar, the Festival-supported races include two big races for Purebred Arabian horses and one for ponies.
The Listed Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan Cup will carry a prize fund of €35,200.
The runners are Akoya under J.B Hamel, Burkan Al Khalediah under N. Murru, Djebel de la Roque under C. Fiocchi, Eiman Du Loup under Mario Sanna, Quadro Di Chia under A Citti, Ramiz Al Aziz under A Fele, Sedilesu under A.Fiori, Serom under G Fresu, Shadwan Al Khalediah under P. Convertino, Sibillina under P.Salis, Tisserand under A Bianchina, Uragano Di Chia under A Fadda and Ussarus under M. Rossini.
Earlier in the card is the Festival’s Wathba Stallions Cup aimed to boost the grass-roots of Arabian horse racing.
The following are the horses and jockeys in the fray: Ijaba V under A Fadda, Manou Taouy under A Fele, Nina Taouy under Mario Sanna, Zaffiro de Lottas under D. Di Tocco, Zaffiro Di Chia under A Godani, Zagara Di Chia under M Manca, Zahraa under Steffano Cherchi, Zambraa under F. Dettori, Zarina By Zucchele under A. Fresu, Zoanna di Gallura under G Sanna, Zoraide Byziqqurat under S Fenu, Zuighe By Iglesias under A Fiori, Zurachi under P Salis and Zurfuru under A Citti.
The Festival’s HH Sheikha Lateefa Bint Mansoor Bin Zayed Al Nahyan International Pony championship race is the third race sponsored by the Festival and the winning young jockey here will qualify for the finals in Abu Dhabi in November.
This 800-metre race will see Corona F riding ORGOSOLO, Columbu G on INTREU, Pisano C on SAETTA, Fadda G on SILVAN, Sanna S on APPROACH, Enna T on SANGRIA, Ponga M on PRIMULA DE ONIFERI, Mereu A on PERLA ITTIREDDESA, Tola G on TEQUILA, Sanna D on SPIRIT and Sias G on BRIGANTE.
