2 May 2015, Asheville, North Carolina ~ The Biltmore Equestrian Center was the site of another 2 days of FEI endurance events on the first two days in May. Heather Reynolds won the 100-mile ride on JG Bold King, a horse she describes a “quirky”. Reynolds had originally helped place the horse, raised by Jan Worthington and Grace Ramsey. When the horse became available last spring, Heather and husband, Jeremy, purchased him for their racing stable.
“He’s a little spooky but has good recoveries,” said Heather after her winning ride. King was put in a training regimen and his first “step-up” ride was a 75 mile in January, which he won and received BC.
The Reynolds took four horses to the Biltmore, riding one each day with all four racing in Easyboot Glue on shoes.
If all goes well, the summer will see the Reynolds cross the country with the same four horses to the Ft Howes ride and on to the Tevis on 1 August.
