11 April 2017, UK ~ The Arabian Racing Organisation (ARO) has confirmed that Forta Stud will be increasing its race sponsorship with ARO for 2017. The first of two races will be the Forta Stud Restricted Maiden Stakes at Taunton on May 21, whilst the new addition, the Forta Stud Mares and Fillies Maiden Stakes will be held at the Season Finale at Huntingdon on September 23.

Forta Stud operates a small-scale breeding program based in Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates, producing Purebred Arabian horses for racing and endurance. They also have horses in training in the UK and tasted their first success with their homebred mare, Aurora Forta, last year.

Forta Stud representative Allen Gordon-Cannon said: ‘Forta Stud is happy to announce that it will be sponsoring two races this year, and we wish everyone a successful season’.

Genny Haynes, ARO Director commented: “With prize money down to sixth place, these two maiden races offer great encouragement to our grass-roots competitors. Now in their third year of sponsorship with ARO, we welcome the continued and increased support by Forta Stud and wish them further success with their own racehorses in 2017.”
