ARO brings together a talented team including Brightwells, RaceStreet Management, Inc., and Markel Insurance to hold Select Arabian Auction at Neardown Stables August 9
May 20, 2014, UK ~ The Arabian Racing Organisation (ARO) is delighted to announce that, in partnership with Brightwells, a Select International Arabian Racehorse sale is to be held in the UK on the 9 August 2014. 
Arabian racing has been run in the UK for over 30 years under the Patronage of HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and ARO is pleased to extend its portfolio to include an International Arabian sale with Brightwells, the UK’s Leading Equestrian Auctioneers,whose name is synonymous with staging high-profile events.
Markel International will be sponsoring the event. The specialist insurer provides equine cover globally and is the preferred supplier of the Arabian Racing Organisation.
The Arabian Sale will be held at the prestigious Neardown Stables, set in the heart of the racing community of Lambourn and only a few miles away from Newbury, courtesy of Charlie Mann, ex-professional jockey and successful thoroughbred racehorse trainer.
The debut of this exciting event will be held on the eve of the annual Dubai International Arabian Race Day held at Newbury racecourse, to promote and to continue to generate interest in Purebred Arabian racehorses worldwide.

The Arabian Racing Organisation
The Arabian Racing Organisation (ARO) is the official sole authority for Arabian Racing in UK, operating with the support and permission of the British Horseracing Authority. ARO is responsible for Regulations, Race Planning, Publications, Promotion and International Representation.
