22 March 2020, UAE – Due to concerns about the rapid spread of the coronavirus, the Emirates Racing Authority (ERA) has cancelled the remainder of the 2019-2020 racing season including the Dubai World Cup. These cancellations begin with the 28 March 2020, Dubai World Cup and continue through all races scheduled in April. The UAE Government is taking these precautionary measures against the virus in working to help protect the well-being of participants, residents and guests.

The Dubai World Cup will postpone the 25th edition of the global event until 2021.
