September 10, 2013, Delaware Park ~ Kathy and Paul Smoke were at the finish line when their home-bred, Smoke House( Kaolino x Smokey Rose by KA Czubuthan) won the September 2, Bob Magness Memorial Arabian Derby (GR2) at Delaware Park.

3rd, Brute, 4th In X Hess, 5th Sand Blastt
“I’m happy I stayed to see Smoke House win the Gr 2 Bob Magness,” said Kathy. “It was a thrilling race as he still is green (this was only his 6th race) and eager and wants to run off the front end and going 1 ¼ miles- that’s pretty hard to accomplish. This is a truly exceptional horse in many ways and as he matures I think he can only get better.”

Sept 5 at Delaware the Claiming Race for 3 years +
It was Explosive Heat MHF (Chndaka x Aer Volitile), owned by Michele Youngdale and trained by John Youngdale that took the 1st by a nose away from Burning Comet, while Extra Cool made it in for third. The race was 6F and the winning time was 1:20:50

In the August 31 CreRun Oaks Arabian Stakes for 3 & 4-year-old fillies – the purse was a guaranteed $30,000 and the distance -1 1/16 F
On top it was Delishess (Dahess x Polish Rye) guided to the win by jockey Juan Torres in a time of 2:00:35 by almost 2 lengths.
Second was RB Burn Baby Burn and third was C Louise another 2 lengths back.
Delishess is trained by Lynn Ashby, was bred and is owned by Alan Kirshner and Deborah Mihaloff of Cre Run Farms
