Track notes for a very rainy Dubai Day, Wednesday, March 26

Al Mamun Monlau (FR) – Al Mamun Monlau (FR), who is going to try to defend his title in the Dubai Kahayla Classic, did not come onto the main track on Wednesday morning but cantered on the all-weather training track.

Elisabeth Garel, the trainer’s wife and assistant, was very happy when she said: “You need to keep Arabian horses interested and that is why we changed the surroundings this morning. And Al Mamun Monlau appreciated it and did a nice steady canter. We are pleased with how he went this morning.”

Mushrae (FR) – Mushrae (FR) came together with Cirrus des Aigles (Dubai Sheema Classic) onto the all-weather track at Meydan on Wednesday morning, avoiding the heaviest showers by a few minutes.

He did a steady canter once round the track and his rider Armand Sethi said: “I’m happy with him. He is still looking about a bit, but that is normal. This is all knew to him and he is just finding his way. He seems really happy on the surface, which is great.”

Vetlana De Faust (Fr) – The 5yo Qatar-trained mare continued light work for trainer Jassim Al Ghazali away from the main track.

Dubai rain is expected to continue into Thursday, March 27.
