4 June 2019, Waregem Hippodrome, Belgium ~ Seven apprentice riders from many points in Europe gathered in Waregem for the 2019 edition of the HH Sheikha Fatima bin Mubarak Apprentice World Championship (IFHRA) on 2 June.

The race of 2120m was fought out in the last 100m, where Beune de l’Ardus showed her usual brilliance under the Hungarian apprentice Vivien Mocsinka to overtake the two leading horses with a spectacular show of acceleration. Ziggy D.A. under Polish jockey Konrad Mazur and Blitters Paco guided by Erac Eracleuse were battling for the lead only to have to relinquish the win in the last moments. Beaune De L’Ardus (Akbar x Neva de l’Ardus) was bred and is owned by Philippe Meunier (FR) and is trained by Daniel and Ann-Sophie Allard (FR).

The Prize Giving Ceremony was attended by Lara Sawaya, Chairperson of Ladies & Apprentice Racing Committees in the International Federation of Arabian Horse Racing Authorities (IFAHR), and organizer, Nelly Philippot, Arabian Horse Racing Club of Belgium.
