20 September 2014, Paris, France ~ An exceptional evening was organised by France Galop along with their sponsor, the Qatar Committee of the Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe and the Qatar Racing & Equestrian Club on Wednesday, 17 September 2014. The 93rd edition of the Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe was launched on a boat on the River Seine in front of a crowd of 250 personalities.
Early in the evening, the Chairman of France Galop, Bertrand Bélinguier, reminded the crowd of the importance of this event. A magnificent location, Longchamp Racecourse in the heart of the Bois de Boulogne, a famous track, competitors from all over the world and €5 million in prize money make the Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe the richest turf race in the world.
The sponsorship agreement signed by Qatar Racing & Equestrian Club in 2008, which is valid until 2022, has allowed the race to reinforce its position as one of the greatest races in the world. Sami Jassim Al Boenain, General Manager of QREC, wants it to keep that position for years to come. Sami Jassim Al Boenain also reminded the crowd that during this major racing weekend organised by France Galop, the biggest Purebred Arabian race in the world, the Qatar Arabian World Cup, will take place with €1 million in prize money.
A prestigious Ambassador for 93rd Edition of Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe

Having experienced Longchamp Racecourse a few days ago, the French actress will return there on Sunday October 5th to present the prize to the winner of the 93rd Qatar Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe.
