Abu Dhabi Endurance Festival Organized for Local Riders

EndFestB24O811924 March 2015, Abu Dhabi, UAE ~ Over 300 riders will compete for 36 cars and cash prizes in three different rides that will be staged as part of the Abu Dhabi Endurance Festival to be run over two days beginning on Thursday, 26 March, at the Emirates International Endurance Village.

The rides are being held under the directives of HH Sheikh Mansoor bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs and organized by the Abu Dhabi Sports Council in coordination with the Emirates Equestrian Federation and the Emirates Endurance Village. The organisers have provided valuable prize-money and 36 cars for the participants.

“We are delighted to announce the launch of the Festival which contains the 100-km Private Stables Ride and the 100-km Abu Dhabi Festival Women Ride on Thursday and the 120-km CEN Abu Dhabi Endurance Festival ride on Friday,” said Adnan Sultan Al Nuaimi, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club. Al Nuaimi addressed a press conference on along with Ms. Lara Sawaya, Executive Director of the HH Sheikh Mansoor Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Global Arabian Horse Flat Racing Festival, Chairman of the Int’l Federation of Horse Racing Academies (IFHRA), Chairman of Ladies & Apprentice Racing Committee in the Int’l Federation of Arabian Horse Racing Authorities (IFAHR).

Sawaya commented: “The Festival has also been honored with the Sports Appreciation Award under the patronage of His Highness the President Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan,” she said.

“Meanwhile preparations have been completed for the HH Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak Darley Awards in US during which 250 guests will be given a red carpet reception at the Dolby Studio in Hollywood, where the Oscars are held,” she noted

The HH Sheikh Mansoor bin Zayed Al Nahyan Global Arabian Horse Flat Racing Festival is organised by the Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority and coordinated by Abu Dhabi Sports Council in association with Emirates Racing Authority, IFAHR and Emirates Arabian Horse Society, supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs , the General Authority of Youth and Sports Welfare with The National Archives as the official partner and Emirates airline as the official carriers and sponsored by Invest AD, Tourism Development & Investment Company (TDIC),  Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC), Al Awani General Enterprises, Kabale, Al Wathba Centre, the UAE’s General Women’s Union, the HH Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak Ladies Sports Academy, Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition 2015, Dr. Nader Saab Switzerland, Al Wathba Center, Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club, Eastern Mangroves Suites-Abu Dhabi by Jannah, Yas Channel, Omeir Travels and Racing Post.
