June 27, 2013, EVERYONE’S GOT TO HAVE A TURN!
From 25 June to 8 December 2013, the Games Road Tour will set off on a unique whistle stop voyage across Normandy, France and overseas, to showcase Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games™ 2014 in Normandy amongst its various audiences.
From Aix-la-Chapelle in Paris via Canteleu, the Haras National du Pin (National Stud Farm in Le Pin), St Lô, Cabourg, Lyon, Lamotte Beuvron, Barcelona, Burghley as well as Caen…. Keep and eye out, the Games Road Tour may well be coming your way!
Taking the form of a huge van entirely refitted to comprise an entertainment hub, the Games Road Tour will provide a quick insight into what the event will be like for the 1,000 champions expected to compete in the World Games from 23 August to 7 September 2014. Strike a pose in front of the camera next to Norman, the official mascot, who will be in attendance at all the Tour dates.
You too can say “Normandyyyyyy” in the special photo booth at the front of the van, equipped with a Stetson, a riding hat, a riding crop or a top hat. Your snapshot will be yours to keep and a copy of it will make up a giant fresco at the heart of the Games Village in 2014.
Art and the Horse
Another attraction for younger audiences will involve a wooden horse, which can be decorated by any tiny tots at the venue. Already part of the entertainment programme for the Salon du Cheval (Horse Show) 2012, this operation will enable children to create a horse in the colours of their choice, which they can rediscover in a year’s time in the Games Village itself, or they can take it away with them as a souvenir of their trip to see the Games Road Tour.
Order your Passes in a matter of clicks and discover the event’s different virtual interfaces…
2 interactive terminals will give you direct access to the Pass shop, where you can purchase passes for the different events making up the largest equestrian competition in the world.
And get a chance to win a host of prizes!
To add to the event’s razzamatazz, a series of scratchcards will be handed out giving each participant the chance to win a whole host of prizes.
