June 23, 2013, Doha ~ HE Sheikh Joaan Bin Hamad Al Thani owned Al Mamun Monlau came up with yet another sterling performance while clinching the Coupe of the UAE President Cup (Grp 1 PA – 4 Years old and upward) at St. Cloud racecourse, France on Sunday, 23 June 2013. Sporting the colors of Al Shaqab Racing, the Kahayla Classic winner Al Mamun Monlau (Munjiz x Salalah de Monlau by Tidjani) kept aside the challenge of Qatari challenger Farraaha (Amer x Moonlit) of Umm Qarn, owned by HH Sheikh Abdullah Bin Khalifa Al Thani and trained by Alban de Mieulle.

The Jean Francois Bernard trained Al Mamun Monlau was ridden to victory by Christophe Soumillon while Farraaha was piloted by French champion jockey Oliver Peslier. Al Mamun Monlau proved his class and did not fail the expectations that had placed him as the favorite of the 2000-metre and Euros 50,000 contest.
