Tevis Cup 100-Mile Ride Will Start with 140 Riders

23 July 2021 ~ The Tevis Cup currently registers 140 riders ready to start. Any further entries/changes will need to be made at Robie Park on Friday.

The ride is held in El Dorado and Placer County, California, starting at 5:15 a.m. at Robie Equestrian Park (39°14′20″N 120°10′39″W) near the town of Truckee, across the crest of the Sierra Nevada near the Squaw Valley Ski Resort, traverses through El Dorado County and ends at 5:15 a.m. near the fairgrounds in Placer County.

Rider numbers have now been assigned in the following manner:

  • 1-10 – last year’s top-ten riders
  • 11-20 – previous Tevis/Haggin Cup winners
  • 20s – international riders (sadly limited this year due to Covid-19)
  • 30+ – all other riders in alphabetical order by last name.

The ride will be held under all state and local Covid-19 requirements.

Please note that under a new rule, sponsors must be 21 years of age or older on Ride Day.

The Western States Trail Ride, popularly called the Tevis Cup Ride, is the oldest modern day endurance ride, having been held annually since 1955. As such, it has been the inspiration and model for the most challenging endurance rides worldwide.
