Arabian Racing Takes Top Form in Sao Paulo Brazil

HH Sheikh Mansoor Festival hosts two races in Brazil

File photo Brazil 201524 May, 2019, Sao Paulo, Brazil ~ HH Sheikh Mansoor Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Global Arabian Horse Flat Racing Festival will be organizing two races at the Hippodrome of Cidade Jardim in Sao Paulo on Saturday, 25 May, 2019.

Organised under the Festival’s banner by the Jockey Club de Sao Paulo, the Brazilian race course will host the third race in the 2019 HH Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak Apprentice World Championship race series and also the Wathba Stallions Cup.

For the first first time Latin American apprentice jockeys from Brazil, Peru, Uruguay, Chile, Puerto Rico, Argentina and Ecuador will have the opportunity to compete and secure a berth in the final of the HH Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak Apprentice World Championship (IFHRA) to be held on 24 November 2019 in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

The jockeys will ride young horses that have already run a race and a draw was held on 20 May of this year to pair the apprentice jockeys with the horses.

Brazil’s Jose Severo will ride Egyto LA (Magnum Chall HVP x HLP Darkyna Fame by Legacy of Fame) a colt owned by Stud Magal; Stephanie Hernandez of Peru will be on Catarina LA (HDB Sihr Ibn Massai x My Princess TGS by Shahllenger) a filly also owned by Stud Magal while another filly by the same owner Cigarra LA (HDB Sihr Ibn Massai x Shanelle Di Master JM by Mister Style JM) will be partnered by Uruguay’s Jhonatan Rodrigo Mora Izquierdo.

Pablo Lucero of Chile will ride Vigilius Rach (Thunder Rach x Vienna Rach by Aleksander Rach) while Anthony Rafael Rodriguez Lorenzoof Puerto Rico, will ride Gunther Rach (Eksort Rach x Geneve AJR by Second Chall) both colts owned by Paulo Jamil Saliba. Alexis Castro of Argentina will be on Farouk AJR (Feitizzo Rach x Fascination VE by Adventure Aladin) a colt owned by Ricardo Lahoz while Nicole Kitsy Ycaza of Ecuador, will ride Flynt AJR (HK Keav Power x Fascinee LUD by Red Bear) owned by Almir José Ribeiro.

It is the Arabian Horses that integrate countries, cultures and people”, Ribeiro added.
