14 October 2018, Fresno, California, USA ~ Madjestic under Francisco Monroy emerged the winner in a photo finish with Nevour Say Never to win in the 14 October 2018 Maiden Championship in Fresno, California.

After an unhurried start in the 6 Furlong race led out the gate by Skeedaddle, Madjestic came from the outside to challenge Nevour Say Never under Ferrin Peterson and the two battled it out to the line. Skeedaddle under Pedro Flores finished third, giving trainer Eaton a triple for the first three from her barn. Also: 4. Aim N, 5. Desert Dew. Winning time was 1:21:62.

Madjestic (Madjani x Reign Supreme) is a 2015 colt bred and owned by James Schleimer and Nicola Forbes-Robinson. Madjestic’s first race season results show four wins for seven outings: 7 (4-2-1).

Eaton said,”Madjestic is maturing into a very nice colt getting better with every race. Nevour same thing, just keeps getting better. Skeedaddle just ran an impressive race. She will be a filly that might get hot next year. She is so green and had a rough summer with a lot of setbacks all summer. Hope she is over the hump and ready to roll for next year.”

This race puts Eaton third for trainers during the Fresno meet. Eaton’s 2018 standings for Arabians according to Equibase is 45(14-11-5).

The $15,000 prize money was distributed to fifth place ( $7,700, $2,800, $1,890, $1,190, $640) in this Grand Finale for the California Arabian racing season.
