Fazza Al Khalediah Wins Qatar Arabian World Cup Group 1PA

Bred in France, trained in Poland, Italian rider

7 October 2018, Paris Longchamp – Number 15, FAZZA AL KHALEDIAH pulled from the pack with 300 metres to go, advancing in perfect timing under jockey Pierantonio Convertino to win the 2000m Qatar Arabian World Cup on 7 October 2018, at the Paris Longchamp racecourse. The four-year-old by Jalnar Al Khaldiah out of Assma Al Khalediah (Amer) is trained by M. Borkowski for the Polish AKF and was bred by Al Khalediah Stables.

Number 2 in was Khataab (Amer x Djelana by Al Sakbe) under Jerome Cabre for Al Shaqab Racing. Number 3 was Ebraz (Amer x Massamarie by Tidjani) under Theo Bachelot for HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Khalifa Al Thani. Gazwan, 2017 winner, was ridden to fourth place by Cristian Demuro.

There were 16 horses in the fray for €1 Million prize money (500.000, 200.000, 150.000, 100.000, 50.000).

The winning time was 2:13:22.
