Stay and Race in California
At the February 2018 Arabian Racing Association of California (ARAC) General Membership meeting, additional races and racing incentives were announced, including a Race Day Supplement Fund.
Two new Stakes series have been announced and more information will be coming soon on the Gold Rush Handicap Stakes Series and the Maiden Stakes Series.
The renewal of the Race Day Supplement Fund, created in 2017, will greatly offset race starter fees. Horses finishing from 4th – 7th will receive $400 additional from the Fund for named ARAC races during the 2018 Racing Season.
Additional racing incentives
Arabian Racing Cup Breeder Incentive
$4,500 will go to three races where $1,500 per race will be paid to Breeders of 1,2, 3 finishers in the race. ARC Breeder Incentive Races will be announced.
Cal Bred Fund
These cash awards are generated by monies wagered on the races. Each time a Registered Cal-Bred Arabian finishes first or second in a race in California, the Owner, Breeder and Sire owner earn money. This money is distributed on a yearly basis with 55% to the Breeder, 20% to the owner, and 15% to the stallion owner.
