29 October 2017, UK ~ Each year the Arab Horse Society (AHS) honors the Leading Race Horse and the Leading Premium Racing Sire.

Anne Brown writes:
“I am thrilled that my stallion Sambist (deceased in 2014) has won the 2017 Leading Sire trophy for the 12th time. The Leading Race Horse went to his daughter, LB Farrah (HARC).

“ARO awards rosettes in the Race Horse to Riding Horse class at the AHS national show, this year won by Beeston Hakim, a largely Crabbet Arab stallion. ARO asked me to present rosettes – * Red is for first in the UK, blue is for 2nd.”

One of the events celebrating the Centenary of the Arab Horse Society in 2018 is the revival of the Marathon (26 miles/42kms) to be run at Newmarket next October 2018.
