8 June 2016, UK ~ A total of 65 horses are entered in the DIAR races scheduled for Sunday 12th June at Duindigt Racecourse in Holland.

The DIAR program, run under the patronage of HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al Maktoum, sponsors 4 Arabian races in Holland.

DIAR 2016 Stakes

Horses from 6 different countries are entered in the 2 Listed races; the largest number from Holland but the UK, Belgium, France, Germany and Qatar are all represented.

In the Dubai International Arabian Stakes (Listed PA) entries are headed by the dual Gr.1 PA winner and Karen van den Bos trained SAMIMA, aiming to retain her unbeaten record in the race. Other notable entries in the race include Gr.2 PA winner ATHLETE DEL SOL (also trained by Karen van den Bos) and Gr.3 PA winners AGHSAAN (trained by Phil Collington) and the D. Dorenberg trained SARTEJANO.

The second Listed contest of the fixture is headed by the R. Zoetelief trained PARAMOUR T, a Gr.3 PA winner but includes other high-class Group performers including LIGHTNING BOLT, ALIBABA DEL SOL, MAJEED, BACHAIR QARDABIYAH. 

With an international line-up and the chance for the winner of these races to go on to compete for the DIAR 2016 Bonus fund at Newbury Racecourse (UK) on Sunday 24th July, the DIAR Day at Duindigt is sure to hold plenty of excitement.
