11 May, 2016 ~ Austria ~ In just two weeks the International Austrian Sporthorse Arabian Championship will take place from 27-29 May 2016, at the noted Equestrian complex at Wiener Neustadt. Fifty-one entries from eight nations will compete in western and english disciplines, and the UAE W’rsan Team will once again travel to Austria to compete.
The organizers advise that all classes are filled except Show Jumping. Dressage riders will compete up to Prix St George, and there will be classes in Classic Pleasure, Ladies Side Saddle, Traditional Arabian Riding, Classic & Western Horsemanship, Reining, and other Western classes.
In March 2016, the AVS (Dutch Arabian Horse Breeders Society) cancelled the European Championships for Sport Arabians which was planned to take place in Holland in early August citing “irreconcilable differences” in the format.
