22 July 2017, Sao Paulo, Brazil ~ The HH Sheikh Mansoor Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Global Arabian Horse Flat Racing Festival hosted three Wathba Stallions Cup races at Jockey Club de Sao Paulo at the Hipódromo de Cidade Jardim on Saturday, 22 July 2017.

Seven mares were in the running for the R45.000,00 (USD$14,324.823) purse in the GP Mahabb-Wathba Stallion Cup over 1,400 meters on turf, the first Grade 3 race for mares in Brazil. This race matched Ciranda Ve, Miss El Chall Ajr, Zells Zenyatta, Guinevere Rach, Vertente Rach, Cantiga Ve and the favorite, Zells Kate (S W Zell X Zell Lady N Red (Zachzell owned by Almir Jose Ribeiro and bred by Lynn Kitto.Hotly contested, it was Zells Kate that emerged the winner.
Grand Prize Mahabb – Wathba Stallions Cup (1400m) – Turf
The GP Munjiz – Wathba Stallion Cup Gr 3 over 1.400 m on turf featured eight of the best runners in Brazil vying for the Prize money of R45,000,00 (Forty-Five Thousand Reais). Rhondo Rach, Velozter, Amb Acalanto, Kazan RB, Mozart Hvp, Marei Rach, Mahogany Hvp and Heron Hvp were in the mix.

Grand Prize Munjiz – Wathba Stallions Cup (1400m) – Turf
The Special Prize Quazar-Wathba Stallion Cup over 1,000 m on turf was contested by seven horses for the R10.000,00 (USD $3,183.294) purse. Five of the seven runners were running their maiden race.
