6 May 2015, France ~ The HH Sheikh Mansoor Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Global Arabian Horse Flat Racing Festival staged the second race of the four Wathba Stud Farm Cup (Prix Ba Toustem) races to be held in France in 2015 at the Hippodrome La Teste De Buch on 3 June.
Sha’hir, trained by Francis-Henry Graffard and ridden by Johan Victoire won the €15,000 race by two lengths from the Jean-Piere Totain-trained Kerchera under Flavien Gamier. Julien Grosjean from Francisco Sanchez’ yard finished third a further length and a half behind.
This was the first Wathba Stud Farm Cup to be hosted at La Teste and the second race of the series in France. The next one will be the Listed PA Prix Burkéguy – Wathba Stud Farm Cup at Dax on 2 July.
HH Sheikh Mansoor Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Global Arabian Horse Flat Racing Festival’s Wathba Stud Farm Cup is held to help the small stables and breeders and owners at the grass root level.
Martial Boisseuil, Racing Manager (Europe) for HH Sheikh Mansoor Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, gave away the trophies to the winning connections.
SECOND WATHBA CUP IN GHLIN, BELGIUM
The HH Sheikh Mansoor Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Global Arabian Horse Flat Racing Festival will be staging the second of its three Wathba Stud Farm Cup races in Belgium on 10 June.
The Wathba Stud Farm Spring Cup will be held at the Mons-Ghlin Racecourse on Wednesday with 9 horses entered to start in the 1500-metre race.
Entered horses: PORT DE LA VIE, FORGEHILL SINATRA, NERO D.A., NOBAS D.A., SHIVAN OA, AINHOA BELLEDENUIT, PETRUSCHKA, MAFHUZ D.A and HANIA D.A.
