Arabian Racing Organization has change in sponsor plans
12 April, 2015, UK ~ The Qatar Racing and Equestrian Club (QREC) has recently undergone a change in senior personnel.
Unfortunately the new management has decided to discontinue a proportion of their overseas sponsorship commitments. Regretfully, this includes all UK sponsorship, with the exception of the Group 1 at Goodwood racecourse.
It is very important to state that the Arabian Racing Organization (ARO) is not considering canceling any races and prize money will remain as stated in the Part One Calendar. ARO will also continue the breeders’ scheme, albeit with, regretfully, slightly reduced premiums. ARO is also honoring the decision to grant free registrations to UK owned Arabians (up to 75 in total).
ARO would like to thank QREC for their support at the grass-roots level for the past five years. ARO is still in discussion with the new management regarding a revised breeders’ incentive scheme as part of their new sponsorship strategy.
In the meantime ARO is actively looking for alternative sponsorship for races throughout the 2015 season and will continue to update racing calendars with relevant information as necessary.
