2015 Arabian Racing begins Monday, 19 January at Sam Houston Race Park, Houston, Texas

19 December 2014, Texas ~ 2014 Texas Arabian racing concluded with two races at Retama Park on 28 and 29 November.

Challenge for Maiden Fillies and Mares, 28 November.

The six furlong challenge for Maiden fillies and mares was won by Gigis Glitter MHF living up to her name as she crossed the finish line in 1:23.85, with 4 1/4 lengths of daylight. Otylia SWA passed Bell South to claim second by a neck. Zelda CS finished fourth, Viraka came in fifth. The race paid $5,500.

Bred by Mandolynn Hill Farm, 7-year-old Gigis Glitter MHF (CHNDAKA x GOLLYS GIGI, by BY GOLLY) ridden by Ivan Arellano is owned by Thunder Johnson and trained by Scott Powell.  

In the Maiden Special Weight race on 29 November, nine colts and geldings flew out of the gate. Djet Propelled (Djet Set de Falgas x Follies Bergere) under Francisco Perez lived up to his name, blasting to a win in the final strides. Bred and owned by Jane Teutsch, the colt is trained by Ken Massey.
