27 November 2014 QREC ~ Al Jeryan Stud’s AJS Intifadah (AF Albahar x Karreema) stormed home by nearly nine lengths in the Doha Local Bred Pure Arabian Oaks Trial at the Qatar Racing and Equestrian Club on Thursday, 27 November. MINDZA Winner of DOHA PA Oaks Trial 1

Hassan Ali Hassan Al Matwi owned Mindza (Munjiz x Peguy) came up with a brilliant stretch run to win the Doha Pure Arabian Oaks Trial in brilliant fashion. Mindza with Gerald Avranche in the saddle, produced a resounding gallop in the final furlong to skip away and win by three and half length from Bahia Du Barthas while Radwah picked up third.

Sheikh Abdullah Bin Nasser Bin Ahmed Al Thani owned Desar Al Naif (Tornador x Bahraa Al Naif) broke through the maiden ranks with a comfortable victory in the Local Bred Pure Arabian Maiden Plate. The Yousef Bentaher trained 4-yr-old colt was ridden to victory by jockey Marvin Suerland. AJS Madrid was one and quarter lengths behind in second, while  Hareer Al Hana and Majd Al Jazeera took the third and fourth places respectively.

Top Thoroughbred Notes

In the Thoroughbred races it was the Dhafi Al Ardi Al Marri owned Absher that came with a ground devouring run in the final stages of the race to win the Local Thoroughbred Handicap for horses rated 70 and below.

Mubarak Saeed Aljafai Al Naimi owned Court Life was a impressive winner of the Thoroughbred Handicap for horses rated 60 to 80.

Sheail Bin Khalifa Al Kuwari owned City Zen was ably ridden by Harry Bentley to a thrilling victory in the Doha Thoroughbred Oaks Trial.
