6 September, 2014, Normandy, France ~ The update on rider’s conditions injured at the WEG

Costa Rican rider Claudia Romero Chacon, who was injured in a fall on Thursday 28 August during the Endurance competition of the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games™ 2014 in Normandy, underwent surgery for fractures and internal injuries on the day of the accident. She is recovering in hospital and it is expected that she will be discharged within a week. Her husband Juan Diego has recorded an audio message from his wife thanking everyone for their thoughts and prayers.
Tomas Couve Correa (CHI)
Chilean rider Tomas Couve Correa, who had a fall in the second round of the team Jumping competition on Wednesday 3 September at the Alltech FEI World Equestrian Games™ 2014 in Normandy in the D’Ornano Stadium was kept in hospital overnight and discharged the following morning, Thursday 4 September.
The equestrian family is happy to see that the riders are making a good recovery.
