Chantelle Du Plessis gets a ticket to ride in the Tevis Trail 2015

First, we would like to acknowledge and thank all of the young riders who took the time to submit entries. Every entry received was of the highest quality and most important, written from the heart. It is clear that there is so much love and passion for the sport- keep your dreams alive!
This year’s winner is Chantelle Du Plessis. Chantelle is 22 years of age and hails from South Africa. She is an extremely talented rider who has a solid international record on many horses. Most important, she lives and breathes endurance, and has a tremendous love for the horse and sport.

Edit note: Chantelle will receive an all expense-paid trip to the Tevis. Airfare generously sponsored by Mohammed Al Abbar, Chairman and CEO of Emaar Properties, who completed the Tevis in 2011. Her mount will be Quick Sands (Burning Sand x Royal Princcess), owned and trained by Hillorie Bachman, and she will have a full crew for the ride. Quick Sands completed the Tevis in 2011.
