February 18, 2014, California ~ The Arabian Racing Association of California held their annual Awards Banquet for 2013 in conjunction with the yearly General Membership Meeting on Saturday, February 15, 2014 at Harris Ranch near Fresno, California.
Thirty people were in attendance including Jeanne Wasserman, Manager of Racing Operations at Alameda County Fairgrounds, and Richard Conway, Manager of The Humboldt County Fair at Ferndale. During the banquet, Jeanne was given a much deserved award of appreciation for all she has done to help ARC, especially with the Sheikh Mansoor Global Festival. Also receiving a special award for her many years of working with the Arabians was Delores Collins, Clerk of the Course at the California Authority of Racing Fairs.

Congratulations to all 2013 winners especially Darley nominated and California 3 year old Filly of the Year, Reign Supreme CS, owned by Jim Schleimer and Nicki Forbes-Robinson. Darley nominated and California 3 year old Colt/Gelding of the Year, My Kaliber, owned by Elisabeth Borg and trained by her husband, Abel Borg. Earlier in the day, the ARAC Board unanimously elected Leslie Smith to serve out the term of Director, Paul Husband who regrettably submitted his resignation. The Board also was unanimous agreement that Mei Davis would serve this year as the Breed Representative for ARAC during the racing season. Congratulations to both.
